NYU SPS launched their new website today: “Professional Pathways”
URL: https://www.sps.nyu.edu/professional-pathways.html
The new site provides many features to improve the UX, including an excellent Search Engine. The new search is simple and clean and has an AUTOTYPE feature (similar to the Google Search) which guesses which course you’re looking for, based on the keyword(s) you supply.
For example, in the screen-shot above, I keyed in the search for:
==> “PMP”
Automatically, the full name of my PMP course comes up by autotype:
==> Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification Exam Prep
(with my original search-term,“PMP” highlighted in yellow)
To enter a Keyword Search, just over-type where it says:
“What would you like to learn?”
as shown in the screen-shot of the home-page (BELOW).
Benefits of the new site include:
- New Search Engine (Clean & simple – similar to Google’s look & feel)
- Enhanced Faculty Information
- Contact your instructor – Potential students can contact the instructor and in advance of taking a course (if the instructor provides his/her email)
- Instructor’s Linkedin Profile – So you can look-up your instructor before you enroll (if the instructor provides his/her Linkedin info)
- Greater Course Detail
- Guided Course Selection
